ARTIC WING:

The Artic Wing was designed thanks to popular request to tackle the most challenging cold water environments and boasts 45 pounds of lift. Built for thick wetsuits or drysuits with heavy insulation, the Artic easily manages the additional lead required, providing stability and safety even in the iciest waters. Whether you’re exploring any extreme cold region or your diving needs require more lift, the Artic has you covered. Featuring an innovative 3D contoured design, these wings hug the cylinder closer than ever before, offering precise lift placement for improved trim underwater and optimized surface flotation. The Artic Wing is made of a durable 1680 ballistic nylon material with SuperFabric® brand technology side panels for added protection and abrasion resistance. Available in the diver’s choice of rapid exhaust or elbow in 12, 16, or 22 inch lengths. This modular wing pairs seamlessly with the TransPac, TransPlate, or any other metal backplate and harness. Available in Black, OD Green, Blue, and Red. Made in the USA.

TRANSPLATE HARNESS:

A hybrid harness designed for divers who want the support of a backpack-style harness for better weight-load distribution, yet wish to dive a hard metal backplate. Designed like a mountaineer's backpack, the TransPlate harness disperses weight across the hips and back, minimizing shoulder strain. When used with a 6-pound steel backplate, divers can remove or minimize weight pockets. Adjustable straps adapt to a wide variety of exposure suits and means easy donning and doffing. The modular design allows for customization with a wide variety of pockets and accessories. Available in sizes Medium thru XXL. Made in the U.S.A.

STAINLESS STEEL XT & XT LITE BACKPLATES:

All Dive Rite backplates are laser cut and individually finished by hand. This attention to detail ensures that there will be no rough, jagged edges that could potentially damage harness or accessory webbing. The XT backplate uses an 11 gauge, low carbon and rust resistant 316L grade stainless steel. Weighing in at 6.5 lbs (2.9kg), stainless steel plates are a popular option for divers looking for a more even distribution of ballast weight. The XT Lite backplate design is based on the original Dive Rite backplates produced since 1984. The lightweight design has evolved to include new features and ergonomics for the modern diver. Laser cut from a thin 14 gauge low carbon, rust resistant 316L stainless steel, the unique shape contours the diver’s back while generously rounded corners prevent the plate from digging in or damaging exposure suits. This iteration is ideal for many women or divers with a shorter torso. This short backplate’s overall length is 1.5 inches less than the standard size. Weighing in at only 2.5 pounds, this light backplate is perfect for traveling or cutting down on weight.

For increased stability we recommend that you add either a single tank adapter (BC1090-SS) or book screws (HW1069PAIR) for attaching the wing to the plate. Weight pockets are not included, but please explore the many options from DR.
