Unique Manual Addition Valves
"Find your mouth - Find your MAVs"
The Manual Addition Valves are part of every CCR Liberty configuration. The Oxygen addition is located on the exhale side to avoid breathing in too much PPO2 at depth. On all FMCL configurations, the MAVs are located on the counterlungs. On all BM BMCL and SM configurations, the MAVs are conveniently designed to be next to your mouth. There they can be easily found without having to look for them. As the diver in trim would have his/her arms in front of their body they can always easily locate the MAVs for manual addition of gas should it be needed. The position of the MAVs is particularly beneficial in tight restrictions where the diver is always able to reach them. The MAVs can also be used as a mean to Off-board gas.
