Join Paragon Dive Group’s Ben Lair and Keadiver's in cooperation with George Vandoros on an incredible expedition to dive the HMHS Britannic off of Kea, Greece supported by Keadivers and their experienced expedition team! The HMHS Britannic was sunk by a mine laid by a German U-Boat on November 21st, 1916. Despite being underwater for 100+ years the ship is still incredibly intact.

DIVE REPORT ON 2023 BRITANNIC DIVES
The Britannic lies on her starboard side in approximately 400' of water with the shallowest section extending up to about 275'. Extreme currents are common and unpredictable. The water temperatures are around 60F and the decompression temperatures will hover in the low to mid 70s(F) above 200'.
We will be based on the island of Kea, Greece which is an incredibly picturesque island in the Aegean Sea. The island of Kea has rich history with ruins from settlements as far back as 3000BC. On non-diving days we will have the ability to relax or just explore the island. The food is incredible and the local populace is extremely welcoming. You will feel right at home!
Dive Day 1 - S/S Patris - This is a picturesque wreck that sits at a max depth of 178'. The S/S Patris was a paddle wheel steamer that still has one complete paddle wheel intact. She was sunk in 1868 when she ran aground on a reef and sits in two pieces. This will be our first local workup dive to get experience and comfort with the diving operations we will be using on the upcoming Britannic dives.
Dive Day 2 & 3 (and more as needed or requested) - S/S Burdigala. This wreck was only discovered in 2008. She is a fully intact passenger ocean liner that measures 604' in length and sits upright in 250' feet of water with the shallowest section in about 194' of water. She was sunk in 1916 just before the Britannic, most likely by a mine laid by the same German U-Boat that sunk the Britannic. This wreck alone is one of the most incredible wrecks we have ever been on!
Dive Day 4-12 - HMHS Britannic. We have 9 possible dive days slotted to dive this magnificent wreck. Some consider this wreck the pinnacle of open ocean wreck diving due to the size, depth, condition, and historical significance. We are not going to discuss the wreck much here as there are a ton of resources available so you can learn about this amazing site. We can confirm it is a once in a lifetime dive and our team is excited to show it to you! Grab one of the many books written about the wreck prior to the trip.
