With an equivalent 28mm camera you will get a 0.41x ratio... that equates to about 160° ultra wide-angle shooting! Injected into the lens is an inert gas to reduce the occurrence of cloudiness in the lens due to temperature differences. With a 52mm thread, it will fit many cameras and housings.
